PKR review

PKR started out as a true innovator in online poker. The first fully 3D online poker site, PKR was responsible for taking live poker elements like gesturing and checking the hole cards, and implementing them online, opening up a whole new dimension for the game this way.

Despite the fact that it does not accept US players, PKR sports a very decent player base, probably as a result of the very intensive advertising campaign that preceded the launch of the poker room.

PKRs software is fully 3D, and it features dazzling graphics. Your table avatar will gesture, do chip tricks and it will peak at the hole cards whenever you forget the suits of your cards and you take a second look. You can customize your avatar in a variety of ways.

All the industry-standard statistics are present plus a bunch of other perks.

On the downside, the software does tend to just eat up your system’s resources and it does react a little slowly sometimes. It doesn’t support PokerTracker import.

PKR has around 1,200 real money cash players at its tables at peak hours, and about 5,000 tournament players. Unfortunately traffic is mainly focused on the low limit Holdem tables. Omaha tables get very little traffic, despite that though, PKR is intent on adding Stud and Draw to their game selection as well.

The sign-up bonus that PKR offers is a relatively complicated deal. Players can choose between two bonuses: a 100% match, up to $800 and a 50% match, up to $250. The 100% match bonus is for those who deposit a least $10. They’ll release the bonus by generating 225 PKR points for every bonus dollar.
